Attorney Melody Cherry of Atlanta; ethical gremlin

The state of Georgia presented Melody Yvonne Cherry with a law license in 1992 after she graduated from Loyola University School of Law in Louisiana.

The Georgia State Bar found Melody guilty of the following misconduct.

• Disregarded physician’s interest in settlement funds in her possession
• Failed to comply with written agreement with physician that his bill would be paid upon receipt of settlement funds
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Failed to be truthful in statements to others
• Engaged in professional conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Melody by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2019), Melody practices with The Law Office of Melody Y. Cherry PC at 531 Boulevard S.E. in Atlanta, Georgia.
