Attorney Kimberly Copeland of Jesup, GA; repeat offender

The state of Georgia presented Kimberly Laverne Copeland with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Texas State University of Law School.

The State Bar of Georgia found Kim guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Decided not to file suit on client’s behalf but failed to tell the client
  • Failure to advise client that suit not filed led to expiration of statute of limitations
  • Failed to promptly refund settlement funds to client’s new attorney

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Kim’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received a complimentary admonishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court punished Kim by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2015) Kim practices with Kimberly L. Copeland & Associates at 256 North Brunswick Street in Jesup, Georgia.
