Attorney Joan Bickerstaff of West Melbourne, FL; ethical elf

The state of Florida provided Joan Helen Bickerstaff with a law license in 1977 after she graduated from Florida State University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Joan guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to comply with trust account procedures
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to maintain minimum required trust account records
• Negligence led to non-lawyer associate engaging in violating ethics rules

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Joan by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2015), Joan practices at 4813 Union Cypress Place in West Melbourne, Florida.
