Attorney Peter Asaad of DC; ethical gnome

The District of Columbia provided Peter F. Asaad with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from American University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to keep adequate, complete and accurate time records
• Failed to keep adequate deposit and withdrawal trust account records
• Failed to disclose to client that he had not fully transferred funds into his new law firm’s IOLTA account
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.
