Attorney Van Brathwaite of DC; ethical misfit

The District of Columbia presented Van M. Brathwaite with a law license in 1991.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Van guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide written fee agreement to client
• Failed to give client notice of basis or rate of fee to be charged

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Van by gifting him with a complimentary informal admonition.

As we speak (ca. July 2015), Van practices with the DC Department of Health at 899 North Capitol Street in Washington, DC.
