Attorney Walter Wagoner, Jr. of New Haven, CT; ethical leprechaun

The state of Connecticut provided Walter D. Wagoner, Jr. with a law license in 1971.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Walter guilty of the following misconduct

Walter was retained to represent a client in a bankruptcy matter. The client sold his house in Ansonia. At that time, there was alien on the house from People’s bank. The client’s debt to People’s Bank was discharged in bankruptcy, but it was necessary to obtain documentation reflecting this fact for recording on the Ansonia property records.

Subsequently, the client and his closing attorney, Fred Dahlmeyer, began requesting such documentation from Walter. They made numerous requests to Walter, both orally and in writing, for the documentation. Walter failed to respond to most of these inquires. At one point, James requested, and actually received additional funds to proceed with the matter.  Despite receiving additional fees from his client, Walter did not obtain the required documentation for nearly three (3) years.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Walter by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2012) Walter practices at 840 Elm Street in New Haven, Connecticut.
