The state of Connecticut provided Jason E. Pearl with a law license in 1956 after he graduated from Cornell University Law School.

 

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Jason guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jason’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Deposited client’s check after he altered it
  • Deleted language on check stating it was payment in full from client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Jason by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

Jason’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to timely file client’s lawsuit
  • Client’s case prejudiced by Jason’s conduct
  • Failed to obtain client consent to limit representation

  • Threatened to bring criminal charges to gain advantage in civil action
