Attorney Stephanie Czap of Enfield, CT; ethical goblin

The state of Connecticut provided Stephanie Elissa Czap with a law license in 2006 after she graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Stephanie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Knowingly made a false statement of fact or law to a tribunal or failed to correct a false statement of material fact or law previously made to the tribunal
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • As appointed conservator, was dilatory in paying the client’s bills
  • Negligence in attending to client’s bills, led to disconnection of her cell phone and cable television
  • After probate hearing, probate judge removed Stephanie as conservator
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to appropriately manage client’s finances in connection with her duties as the court appointed conservator

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Stephanie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Stephanie practices with Supportive Legal Services LLC at 1430 Enfield Street in Enfield, Connecticut.
