Attorney Robert Bernhardt of Denver; repeat offender

The state of Colorado presented Robert Leroy Bernhardt with a law license in 1997.

Disciplinary Counsel found Robert guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Robert failed to respond to his client’s inquiries and to inquires from opposing counsel. Robert also failed to communicate with his client.

As a result of Robert’s gross negligence, his client’s case was dismissed with prejudice. With prejudice means the client was forever barred from ever filing a lawsuit on the matter in the future.

In another matter, Robert was hired to assist a client with a modification of parenting time in a post-decree divorce case. During his representation of the client, Robert failed to respond to a motion for attorney fees and also failed to object to a motion to modify his client’s child support payments.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Roger’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. Roger previously received a complimentary suspension of his law license in 1008 and 2009 for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his most recent misconduct (ca. 2013), the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfit sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Robert by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2013), Robert practices at 2150 West 29th Avenue in Denver, Colorado.
