Attorney Eric Field of Aurora, CO; cheating slacker

The state of Colorado provided Eric Field with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

The Colorado State Bar found Eric guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly used debit card to withdraw cash from a trust account
  • Failed to protect client’s interests upon termination
  • Filed to return unearned fees upon termination (cheater)
  • Failed to return client file to client upon termination
  • Failed to maintain trust account records to track money deposited into trust account
  • Failed to provide client with billing statement
  • Only refunded unearned fee after client filed ethics complaint

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Eric by gifting him, with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Eric practices with the Eric Field Law Firm at 9908 East Louisiana Drive in Aurora, Colorado.
