Attorney William Muhr of Colorado Springs; lying slacker

The state of Colorado provided William W. Muhr with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the University of Colorado Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Allowed client’s statute of limitations to expire before settling the matter or filing suit
  • Provided client with fabricated settlement statement
  • Failed to abide by client decisions re: objectives of the case
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to consult with client as to means to achieve client objectives
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Failed to make reasonable attempts to communicate with client
  • Revealed information relating to representation of client
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Billy practices with William Muhr LLC at 7035 Campus Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
