The state of California provided John Frederick Wolcott of with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from LaSalle University Law School in Wilmette, Illinois.
The California Bar Court found John guilty of the following misconduct.
In one matter, John was hired to represent a client in a personal injury case. Two years later, John settled the case for $7,500 and the next month sent his client a check for $2,500 as her share.
When the client deposited the check it bounced for insufficient funds.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished John by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year term of probation.
As we speak (ca. May 2013) John practices with The Law Offices of John F. Wolcott at 3318 Del Mar Avenue in Rosemead, California, which is in the Los Angeles area.
