Attorney David Talley of Fountain Valley, CA; ethical misfit

The state of California provided David Allen Talley with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings Law School in San Francisco.

The California Bar Court found David guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Failed to provide competent legal services (Dufus)
  2. Failed to pay court-ordered monetary sanction
  3. Failed to communicate with client
  4. Refused to return client files to client after he was fired
  5. Sanctioned by Court for engaging in misconduct
  6. Failed to return unearned fees (cheater)
  7. Engaged in the Unauthorized Practice of Law (UPL) while license suspended
In one matter, Dave was hired to revise a living trust for a client. Over the next eight months, the client called Dave at least once a month, he never returned the phone calls or made the changed to the trust. Dave never told the client that his law license had been suspended during this time and never made arrangements for a licensed attorney to represent the client.

Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Mark was never criminally charged for engaging in the Unauthorized Practice of Law

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished David by gifting him with a 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2012) David practices in the Fountain Valley, California area, which is about 35 southeast of Los Angeles.
