Attorney Bruce E. Traney of Los Angeles; deadbeat

The state of California provided Bruce Edward Traney with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Southwestern University Law School in Los Angeles, a 3rd tier

The State Bar Court found Bruce guilty of commingling personal funds in his client trust account.

The California Franchise Tax Board filed a lien against Bruce and then levied against a checking account he maintained to collect back taxes that he owed. In order to protect his personal money from the tax board, Bruce placed his personal funds in his client trust account. He then wrote numerous checks to pay his personal bills. This is called “tax evasion and fraud” 101!

The Bar Court was notified after Bruce bounced two checks. However, they subsequently discovered that he had actually bounced fourteen (14) checks.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the bar Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Bruce was never criminally charged for bouncing 14 checks.

As we speak (ca. June 2012) Bruce practices law with Kazandjieff & Traney LLP at 1801 Avenue of the Stars in Los Angeles.
