Attorney David Baade of Irvine, CA; scofflaw, ethically insolvent

Sadly, the California Supreme Court gifted attorney David Baade (pronounced: Baahhd) with a law license in 1970.

In 2009, the California Bar court filed charges against Baade for engaging in a variety of egregious misconduct, which included the following:
  • Repeatedly bounced checks on an account with insufficient funds
  • On 14 occasions deposited non-entrusted funds in his client trust account
  • Committed numerous acts of moral turpitude (degenerate acts)
  • Failed to returned unearned fees to clients
  • Repaid a client for unearned fees with a bad check
Writing bad checks is a criminal act in California; however since lawyers are held to a lower standard of conduct then we are, Baade was never criminally charged.

The enablers at the Bar Court blessed Baade by presenting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension. In so doing, they had the chutzpah to state that there decision was based on the fact that he provided them with “character references.” Who in the hell would voluntarily make such a sham claim?

As we speak (ca. Jan. 2011) Baade is practicing his so-called brand of law in Irvine, California.
