Attorney William Reid of Yuma, AZ; ethical troll

The state of Arizona presented William M. Reid with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, the terms of Billy’s admission required him to undergo random drug testing and notify the compliance monitor within 48 hours if he took any drugs, prescribed or not. Subsequently, Billy notified the State Bar’s compliance monitor that he was going to vacation in Mexico. While on vacation, Billy took a 5mg tablet of benzodiazepine, a substance he was prohibited from using.

Billy did not tell the compliance monitor within 48 hours that he had done so. Billy then reported to the TASC Drug Detection Laboratory and provided a urine sample. The sample tested positive for benzodiazepines.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and ordered to pay $1,200.00 for the costs of the ethics proceedings.

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Billy practices at 535 South Orange Avenue in Yuma, Arizona.
