Attorney Robert Kreitlein of Birmingham; ethical leprechaun

The state of Alabama presented Robert Lee Kreitlein with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of Alabama Law School.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  2. Failed to fully cooperate with disciplinary agency (Up Yours, said Bobby!)
  3. Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
  4. Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
  5. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  6. Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  7. Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to allow client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  8. Failed to safeguard client property
  9. Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being fired
  10. Failed to properly supervise non-attorney staff
  11. Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Bobby.

As we speak (ca. April 2014), Bobby practices at 713 Valley Drive in Birmingham, Alabama.
