Attorney Burton Newsome of Birmingham, AL; scamming loser

The state of Alabama presented Burton Wheeler Newsome with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Burt guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Subjected opposing defendants, lawyers all with protracted litigation even though his claims were without substantial justification
• Burt’s sham lawsuit v. attorney Claiborne Seier, and Don Gottier was summarily dismissed by the trial court

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Burt by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2023), Burt practices his so-called brand of law Newsome Law LLC a 194  Narrows Drive in Birmingham, Alabama.
