Attorney Darren Kies of West Birmingham, AL; slacker, loser

The state of Alabama presented Darren William Kies with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from Samford University School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Darren guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in improper advertising
• Improperly engaged in direct contact with represented person
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Darren by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Darren practices with KIES Law LLC at 517 Beacon Parkway in in West Birmingham, Alabama.
