Attorney Frederick Washington of Birmingham, AL; idiotic slacker

The state of Alabama presented Frederic Lamar Washington with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Miles University School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to fully advise his client regarding a plea agreement and the possibility to receive a lesser sentence
• Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary 45-day suspension of his law license.
