Attorney Jon Terry of Bessemer, AL; ethical troll

The state of Alabama presented John Batton Terry with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

FYI: Samford University is ranked as the 176th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engage in any other conduct that adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to adequately supervise office staff
• Held property of a client in his trust account which was not in connection with his representation of the client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Johnny practices with Bains & Terry at 1813 3^rd Avenue North in Bessemer, Alabama.
