Justice Derek Sweeting of England; slacker, loser

The Law Society provided Derek Sweeting with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the Clare College School of Law.

The Judicial Conduct Investigations Office (JCIO) found Derek guilty of engaging in the following misconduct

• Took more than a year to deliver a judgment in a case
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Spent fourteen (14) months reaching conclusions in a case
• Spent eleven (11) months in two other cases before providing conclusions in the matters
• Failed to display care in discharge of his judicial duties
• Failed to immediately recognize the consequences of his actions

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Conduct Investigations Committee punished Derek by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. October 2023) ,Derek continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as High Court Judge to the King’s Bench Division in London, England.
