Justice Michel Déziel of Quebec, CAN; serial scofflaw

The Law Society presented Michel Dézielwith a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Hamline University Law School.

The Judicial Inquiry Committee found Michel guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place shortly before he ascended to the bench.

In one matter, Justice Déziel found it acceptable to act as an intermediary for the purpose of transferring cash contributions of $30,000 in $750 increments from an engineering firm to the person responsible for organizing an electoral campaign of the Parti de l’Action civique.

Justice Déziel admitted that he knowingly and repeatedly violated provincial law in regards to campaign contributions

As a consequence of repeatedly breaking the law, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Canadian Judicial Commission punished Michel by gifting him with a $100 fine.

As we speak (ca. August 2015), Justice Michel Déziel continues to sit in the Quebec Superior Court in Laval, Quebec, Canada.
