Celeste Greig of California: Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Celeste Greig
Today’s “Screwball” Award Winner

Celeste Greig is president of California Republican Assembly (CRA), California’s oldest GOP volunteer group. It appears that one of Celeste’s primary duties as president of the CRA is to assure that the GOP in California remains a super minority party into the unforeseeable future.

During a recent interview by reporter Steven Harmon of the Bay Area News Group in Sacramento, Celeste criticized former Sen. Todd Akin’s (R-MO) comment that is “rare” for women to get pregnant after a “legitimate rape” because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” Celeste said that Akin’s comment was “insensitive.”

However, in an effort to cement her status as yet another Certified Screwball, (Akin clone) Celeste went on to agree with Akin’s premise that these types of pregnancies are uncommon. Screwy Celeste then said, “Granted, the percentage of pregnancies due to rape is small because it’s an act of violence, because the body is traumatized.”

Is it any wonder that the GOP in California is in deep doo doo as it continues to strive to become absolutely irrelevant as a counterpart to the Democrats?

Maybe the GOP should consider providing complimentary lobotomies to Celeste, Todd Akin and those of their ilk. FYI Celeste, ILK isn’t defined as a male ELK.

Congrats Celeste; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s least appreciated Screwballs; you are far too humble.
