Judge Doug Martin of Fayetteville, AR; bully, loser

The state of Arkansas presented Doug Martin with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

Gov. Mike Beebe was duped into appointing Doug as a Circuit Court judge in late 2012. Doug was appointed because he was the most qualified attorney in the Fayetteville area. He was appointed because he had proven to be a reliable lackey to the local political hacks.

The Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission found Doug guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place during his campaign for election to a full term on the Circuit Court in Fayetteville.

In his zeal to continue to pork out at the public trough, Doug found it acceptable to:

  • Make statements that were prejudicial and harassing against his opponent and those who supported his opponent
  • Sent out emails and used social media in “inappropriately chastising his opponents for their opposition to his candidacy”
  • On several occasions spoke publicly about his disdain for his opponents supporters
  • Repeatedly confronted members of the community regarding their association with his opponent
  • Behavior toward opponent’s supporters gave impression of coercion

Unfortunately, Doug’s electioneering misconduct bore fruit as he was able to dupe the voters into electing him to serve on the bench through 2020.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Doug continues to sit as a Washington County Circuit Court judge in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
