Judge David Guthrie of El Dorado, AR; greedy loser

The state of Arkansas presented David Guthrie with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

Dave has had his significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the last twenty-two (22) years. It appears that no self-respecting law firm in the greater El Dorado area was about to offer Dave a good paying job.

The taxpayers of Arkansas are required to pay Dave an annual salary of $139,000, which of course does not include fringe benefits such as a Cadillac style health insurance plan, etc.

Arkansas law mandates that judges forfeit their retirement benefits if they continue to serve after the term in which they turn 70-years-of-age. Lifetime porker Dave filed a lawsuit challenging the law by arguing that it was unconstitutional. Put simply, Dave the Porker wants to continue to remain on the bench after he reaches 70-years-of age while he also collects a state pension that would likely exceed $100,000 a year.

When does the judicial greed end? If Dave wishes to continue to pad his bank account, then I suggest he apply for a job as a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter located at 2730 North West Avenue in El Dorado, Arkansas.

As we speak (ca. May 2016), Dave continues to sit as a 13th District Court judge in El Dorado, Arkansas.
