Former Judge Ronnie Dortch of Hartford, KY; ethical leprechaun

The state of Kentucky presented Ronnie C. Dortch with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School.

Former Gov.  Brereton Jones was duped into appointing Ronnie to a seat as a Division 1 Circuit Court Judge in 1992. Ronnie didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified lawyer in the greater Hartford area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission found Judge Dortch guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was sitting as a Division 1 Circuit Court judge.

In one matter, Ronnie found it acceptable to engage in a sexual relationship with a woman while he was presiding over her felony criminal case.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission punished Judge Dortch by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2017), Ronnie practices at 130 East Washington Street in Hartford, Kentucky
