Judge Ronald Chapman of Charlotte, NC; moronic slacker

The state of North Carolina presented Ronald L. Chapman with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law.

The North Carolina Judicial Standards Commission on Judicial Performance found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Conduct brought his judicial office into disrepute
  • Failed to issue a ruling for more than five years on a motion for permanent child support
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety in his judicial activities
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law
  • Failed to promptly discharge his official duties
  • Failed to maintain professional competent in judicial administration [moron]
  • Failed to respond to legitimate requests from counsel as to status of child support order
  • Improperly recused himself from child support case instead of entering an order after he did nothing on the matter for five years, thereby causing more delay

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the North CarolinaSupreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension from his judicial duties.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Ronnie continues to sit as a District Court judge in Charlotte, North Carolina.
