Judge Bill Terry Jr. of Advance, NC; ethical gremlin

The state of North Carolina presented Bill Carlton Terry Jr. with a law license in 196 after he graduated from the University Law School.

The North Carolina Judicial Standards Commissionfound Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
• Improperly viewed party’s website
• Failed to observe appropriate standards of conduct
• Failed to respect and comply with the law
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Billy continues to sit as a General Court of Justice, Judicial District Twenty-Two Judge in Advance, North Carolina.
