Justice Robin Davis of West Virginia; scofflaw, serial offender

The state of West Virginia presented Robin Jean Davis with a law license in 1982 after she graduated from the University of West  Virginia Law School.

This isn’t the first bite from the Judicial Misfit Apple tree for Justice Davis. Previous stories can be found by visiting the West Virginia Section of the Judicial Misfit Category.

In late March 2017, it has been reported by The Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF) that they believed a corporate entity may have donated at least $6,000 to Robin’s 2012 re-election campaign in the names of various persons connected to the company, as a personal favor for a friend of the firm’s president. (Kevin Daley)

Contribution reports establish that six individuals from Plant City, Florida contributed to Robin’s 2012 campaign. All six of the contributions were made in the amount of $1,000, which is the maximum allowed by West Virginia law. Each of the contributions were made on the same day, January 12, 2012.

None of the six Floridians had any history of political activism. The only connection the contributors have to each other is their relationship to Steve Edwards, president of a Plant City, Florida landscaping company.

One of the contributors told the DCNF that they didn’t make a donation to the Davis campaign, and that nay such contribution made in their name was done without their knowledge or permission.

The contributor went on to state that the first time they learned of the Robin contribution was made in their name was when DCNF reported it on August 4. The contributors went on to say that they are not politically active and had never heard of Robin Jean Davis before reading the DCNF report.

Given Robin’s sordid history of engaging in unethical conduct, it is very likely that she was directly involved in the above illegal contributions.

All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Robin the Serial Loser by the powers-to-be in West Virginia.

As we speak (ca. March 2017), Robin continues to sit as an Associate Justice of the West Virginia Supreme Court.
