The state of Georgia provided David Lee Cannon Jr. with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Mercer University School of Law.

The Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in willful misconduct in office
• Conduct brought his judicial office into disrepute
• Made several public comments on Facebook regarding pending investigations and impending matters within his jurisdiction
• Engaged in conduct casting doubt on his capacity to impartially decide an issue
• Improperly posting a link to a press conference of an active investigation of a crime which occurred in his jurisdiction and made numerous comments about statements made by a Cherokee County law enforcement officer concerning the matter
• Improperly posting a link to a press conference of an active investigation of a crime which occurred in his jurisdiction
• Engaged in extra-judicial activities that detracted from the dignity of his office or interfered with the performance of his judicial duties
• Lent the prestige of his judicial office to advance his private interests or that of others

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Davey by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Davey continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Blue Ridge Circuit Superior Court judge in Canton, Georgia.
