Gov. Rick Perry as President and future makeup of the Federal Judiciary

If Gov. Rick Perry of Texas succeeds in winning the Republican nomination and then defeats Obama in November 2012, we can be assured that he’ll work diligently to appoint conservative family values judges that can be relied on to rule favorably for corporations and against liberal, bleeding-heart, commie-pinko, American hating union supporters and those of their ilk. Put simply, no more legislating from the bench!

Of course the most important court for President Perry (PP) to protect would be the Supreme Court, followed by the Appellate courts. As we speak (ca. August 13, 2011), the political makeup of those courts are as follows.

Supreme Court = 5 Republicans v. 4 Democrats
Appellate Courts = 89 Republicans v. 71 Democrats
18 = Number of vacancies
Senior Appellate Judges = 80 Republicans v. 32 Democrats
Total Appellate Judges = 169 Republicans v. 103 Democrats

The number of Republicans and Democrats sitting on the Federal Appeals Courts as we speak (ca. 08/12/11) are as follows. More detailed information can be found in the tables at the end of this article.

1^st Circuit = 7 Republicans (4 fulltime) v. 4 Democrats (3 fulltime)
2^nd Circuit = 11 Republicans (5 fulltime) v. 14 (7 fulltime) Democrats
3^rd Circuit = 14 Republicans (6 fulltime) v. 9 (7 fulltime) Democrats
4^th Circuit = 9 Republicans (6 fulltime) v 8 (7 fulltime) Democrats
5^th Circuit = 17 Republicans (11 fulltime) v 6 (5 fulltime) Democrats
6^th Circuit = 19 Republicans (10 fulltime) v 10 (5 fulltime) Democrats
7^th Circuit = 11 Republicans (7 fulltime) v 4 (3 fulltime) Democrats
8^th Circuit = 17 Republicans (9 fulltime) v 3 (2 fulltime) Democrats

The Tables below set forth the names and ages of all sitting appellate judges. If Gov. Perry is elected for two terms, by the year 2020 the age of Democratic judges will be (a) 6 at 85-97 years-old, (b) 12 at 80-85 years-old, and (c) 8 at 75-79 years-old. If all 26 opted for senior status, actually retired or passed away, then Ricky would be able to appoint reliable conservative substitutes. This would then increase the number of fulltime appellate judges to 133 Republicans verses 45 Democrats, which would include Ricky’s appointment to the 18 vacancies we now have as of August 2011.

And if Ricky was replaced by another reliable conservative Republican for the next 8-years (through 2028) we’d likely see those numbers change to 168 Republicans verses 10 Democrats.

As for the US Supreme Court, we now have a 5-4 conservative majority. Given the fact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is presently 78-years-old and would be 86 in Ricky’s last term in 2020, we can safely assume she’ll retire before then. The same may be true for Stephen Breyer who is presently 73-years-old and would be 81 in 2020. Of course with Rick as President, if Justice Scalia or Kennedy both of whom were born in 1936 retired we can be assured that Rickey would replace them with reliable conservatives.

Therefore, if you’re looking for reliable conservative federal appellate judges, then you must cast your vote in November 201 for Texas Gov. Rick Perry.
