Chuck Berry rewrites “Johnny B Goode” in honor of Trump
FYI: Chuck Berry was a famous American singer who recorded numerous top hits beginning in the 1950s. One of Chuck’s biggest hits (number 2 on Billboard Magazine’s Hot R&B Sides chart) was “Johnny B. Goode.”
Luckily for us, Chuck agreed to do a partial remake of “Johnny B. Goode” to show due respect for Donald “Trumporleone” Trump. Chuck’s remake goes like this.
Deep down in the bowels of The Apprentice Way up in Donny’s neck of the woods There stood a mansion made of gold and wood Where lived a little boy named Donny B. Goode Who never ever learned to be honest so well But he could fake the truth like a ringing a bell
Go go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Donny B. Goode
His mother told him "Someday you will be a shyster” And you’ll become America’s premier fraudster Many people you screwed came from miles around To hear you tell your lies when the sun go down Maybe someday your name will be in lights Saying Donny B. Goode tonight
Go go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Go Donny go Go Donny B. Goode
