Tea Party Guru Rand Paul sez: Obama Un-American for attacking BP After being properly skewered by the media for his recent comments about the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Rand Paul decided to do an encore by accusing Obama of being un-American in his c
 riticism of business (BP). Mr. Paul then said on “Good Morning America,” “What I don’t like from the president’s administration is this sort of I’ll put my boot heel on the throat of BP.I think that sounds really un-American in his criticism of business.”
“And I think its part of this sort of blame game society in the sense that it’s always got to be someone’s fault instead of the fact that sometimes shit happens, I’m sorry I mean accidents happen.”
Goshes and Gollies and Gee Whillickers, I think Rand Paul missed his calling as a stand-up comedian, how about you?
Being a die-in-the-wool Libertarian, Rand Paul actually believes that it is offensive for government to regulate Big Oil, Wall Street, Lunch Counters and/or the Mega-Banks. In his view, we should all just trust these businesses to act ethically. Sure Randy Baby, the BP spill and financial meltdown only came about because of government regulation, right?
And finally Mr. Paul, there was no necessity for the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to end insidious (Is there another Kind Rand?) discrimination at the lunch counters in the South, right?
