Are Mitt Romney and the GOP playing working stiffs for suckers? I would define working stiffs as (a) anyone who gets their hands dirty, (b) anyone working for an hourly wage and (c) any individual earning $75,000 a year or less. Now I’m not saying that professionals earning $150,000 a year or less are not part of the working class.
In the upcoming presidential race, Romney has promised to:
Let’s assume for the sake of argument that the GOP takes control of the senate and retains control of the House. This would presumably mean that Mitt would be able to get his way on all of the issues aforementioned. And if that were to happen, how would the working class fair?
I can assure you that none of the above would take place no matter who is elected in 2012. However, Romney and his minions are confident that they’ll get your vote because you’re against same sex marriage and/or a Pro-Life supporter.
It really is disheartening to know that many hard working American’s will be persuaded to vote against their own economic interests in November because they are Pro-Life or Pro-Marriage. Obviously, both of these issues are important; however, they have absolutely nothing to do with how the federal government operates and serves the interest of the working class.
Trust me folks, I’m not here rooting for Obama. I could write a 100-page thesis on my distaste for what the Obama administration has done over the past 3 years.
My only hope is that working class voters wake up and realize that the Romney Team is playing them for suckers!
And lastly, if ya just can’t stomach voting for Obama, then vote for Dwight Eisenhower or Harry Truman, but don’t under any circumstances allow yourself to become a member of the Romney Sucker Team.
