Republican “Family Values”?
By David Palmer
According to Dr. James Dobson (Focus on the Family), Ralph Reed (Christian Coalition) and their coterie of apologists/enablers like Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh, the Red States are inhabited by folks who are (a) god-fearing, (b) imbued with family values, (c) caring, (d) philanthropic, and (e) moral stalwarts.
These statistics prove that Dobson, et al. have much work to do before the conduct of their brethren in the Blue States equals or surpasses that of the Reds. Put simply, these statistics seem to indicate that the Blues have intentionally set out to embarrass the Reds. Let’s just hope and pray that Dobson and Reed, and more importantly, Sean, Ann, Phyllis and Savage (SAPS) are up to the task. Hopefully, it won’t take two additional Republican Presidential terms (after Bush) before the Reds are able to force the Blues to appreciate the term “values” by causing their statistics to rise to the “compassionate” level of the Reds.

Knowing that the above named charitable Christians would not claim to be morally superior to those residing in Blue States, I went about and did some research to prove they were right. Below you will find statistics dealing with (a) abortions, (b) divorces, (c) adoptions, (d) poverty rates, (e) unmarried births, (f) HIV/AIDS rates and (g) domestic partner murder data. |
