Attorney Kent Romney of Glendale, AZ; ethical gremlin

The state of Arizona presented Kent Russell Romney with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Arizona State Bar found Kent guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Accepted retainers from clients and then abandoned them
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to turn over client files to successor counsel
  • Failed to obey court orders
  • Failed to return unearned fees (crook)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Kent!)
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Engaged in bad faith obstruction of disciplinary proceeding

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Kent by gifting him with a complimentary 32-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2015) Kent practices with the Glendale City Attorney’s Office at 5850 West Glendale Avenue in Glendale, Arizona.
