Attorney John Thompson of Tyler, TX; repeat offender

The state of Texas presented John Rex Thompson with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Baylor University Law School.

The District 2 Grievance Committee found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed as to status of case
  • Failed to respond to client requests for information
Failed to refund any unearned portion of fee (thief)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Keith’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received one (1) complimentary reprimand and one (1) stayed suspension of his law license.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2015), Johnny practices at 321 West Houston Street in Tyler, Texas.
