Creationist Ken Ham: Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Creationist Ken Ham

Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Kenny. In the past, he has been the recipient of four (4) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

During a recent (February 2015) appearance with comedian Tony Perkins on the Washington Watch Comedy Show, Kenny was outraged to learn that the state of Kentucky is allegedly abridging his comedy organization’s “fundamental rights” by refusing to provide $18 million in tax incentives for his Noah’s Ark theme park.

Kenny asserts that the planned $18 million addition to Ham’s Creation Museum is intended be “one of the greatest evangelist outreaches of our day.” What Kenny really means is that it is intended to be one of the biggest personal financial winners for Kenny.

Given the fact that Kenny’s group has stated that it will cheerfully discriminate on the basis of religion in its hiring practices [evangelicals only], it should have came as no surprise that Kentucky wasn’t about to provide him with public funding.

In a monumental waste of taxpayer money, Kenny has filed a lawsuit against Kentucky, stating that his organization, Answers in Genesis, is the real victim of discrimination. This gives a new meaning to “frivolous lawsuit.”

Kenny then told Tony and his low I.Q. listeners that Kentucky’s denial of public funding violated his organization’s freedom of speech rights. Kenny then said:

  • “Anyone who wants to have freedom of speech in this nation, freedom of religion, free exercise of religion, needs to stand with us as we do this because that is what we are standing for.”

Kenny than claimed that Kentucky’s ruling amounted to anti-Christian persecution and meant “that we can’t have the free exercise of religion.”

Since Kenny and those of his ilk, believe that their evangelical beliefs are entitled to state tax dollars, then I’m sure he’d support any or all of the following:

  • $10 million in tax incentives to build branch of Church of Scientology in Owensboro
  • $15 million in tax incentives to build Mosque in Lexington
  • $10 million in tax incentives to build Buddhist Temple in Covington
  • $20 million in tax incentives to build a Mormon Temple in Louisville

Congrats Kenny; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Lunatics”; you are far too humble.

  1. Dumbo Award Winner = 1
  2. Flock-Fleecer Award = 1
  3. Lunatic Award Winner = 1
  4. Screwball Award Winner = 1
