Rep. Aaron Schock (R-IL): Today’s“Ass-Kisser” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Aaron Schock

Today’s “Ass-Kisser” Award Winner

In November 2008, Aaron duped the voters into electing him as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

A recent (02/06/15) report by Blue Nation Review revealed that just prior to the 2012 election, Aaron sold his home to one of his major campaign donors, Ali Bahaj, for more than three times the property’s assessed value.” (Amanda Gutterman, Huffington Post)

It was reported that Bahaj and his wife, Gloria, were longtime GOP donors who contributed the maximum to Aaron’s campaign in 2008 that elected him for the first time to Congress.

Once he assumed his seat in Congress, Aaron donned a pair of Industrial Strength Knee pads in order to repay his benefactor Bahaj, by publicly defending Caterpillar Inc., where Bahaj served as vice president when it was criticized for tax evasions and mass layoffs.

During his bid for re-election in 2012, Bahaj purchased Aaron’s home in Peoria for $925,000. At the time, the home was assessed to be valued at $225,000, a price that was comparable to other homes in the neighborhood.

It cannot be disputed that Aaron realized a windfall profit from the sale. The real question is why Bahaj agreed to pay an additional $700,000 for a house that could have been bought for $225,000? One need not possess an I.Q. in triple digits to understand what was going on here.

Congrats Aaron; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Ass-Kissers”; you are far too humble
