Former Judge Virginia Ward of Salt Lake City; ethical misfit

The state of Utah presented Virginia Ward with a law license in 1993 after she graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

Virginiahad her significant snout firmly implanted in the public trough for the first 20 years after she received her law license. It is painfully clear that no self-respecting law firm in the greater Salt Lake City area was about to offer Virginia a good paying job.

The Utah Judicial Conduct Commission found Judge Ward guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Virginia entered a guilty plea to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a second degree felony.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Virginia by gifting her with yet a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Virginia practices in the Salt Lake City area.
