Judge Richard Spicer of Hastings, MN; moronic loser

The state of Minnesota presented Richard G. Spicer with a law licen se in 1972 after she graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

Former Gov. Rudy Perpich was duped into appointing Dick to the bench 1991. Dick wasn’t appointed because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Dakota County area. He received the appointment because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Minnesota Judicial Commission found Judge Spicer guilty of the following misconduct.

Judge Spicer thinks it’s funny to demean jurors that appear before him. Below are a few samples’ of his inappropriate comments.

  • When juror stated he managed pizza parlor, the Moron asked: “Do they still taste like cardboard?”
  • When juror said he was unmarried, the Moron asked him if he had any children
  • When juror stated she had 42-year-old son, the Moron stated: “You don’t look like you would have a 42-year-old. You don’t look much older than 42 yourself. Wow…Wow. Very good.”
  • When juror said he worked in an Airline stockroom, the Moron said: “Is that where they steal all our bags and put them in there?”
  • When told of the consecutive ages of a juror’s children, the Moron said: “Well….you weren’t shooting blanks. We know that much.”
  • Advised jurors that it would be advisable to reach verdict so as to assure that the Moron wouldn’t miss a scheduling golf outing

As one would suspect, this isn’t Dick’s First bite at the Judicial Misfit Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in the same type of conduct aforementioned

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Dick by gifting him with yet another complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. February 2014), Dick continues to sit as a First Judicial District Court Judge in Hastings, Minnesota.
