Attorney Willard Brown Sr. of New Orleans; ethical misfit

The state of Louisiana presented Willard James Brown Sr. with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Southern University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Willy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Mishandled his trust account
  • Allowed trust account to become overdrawn on numerous occasions

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Willy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Willy.

As we speak (ca. February 2015) Willy practices with The Law Office of Willard Brown Sr. at 4619 South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans, Louisiana.
