Attorney Lucien Brisebois of Ottawa, CAN; repeat offender

 

The Law Society presented Lucien Octave Brisebois with a law l icense in 1971.

 

The Law Society of Upper Canada found Lucien guilty of the following misconduct.

Lucien’s 1stbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest by representing both lender and borrower in loan transaction
  • Failed to inform lender of borrower’s financial situatio n
  • Failed to arrange adequate security to lender
  • Arranged for discharge of mortgage without arranging replacement security
  • Failed to send complete and final reporting letters to clients

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada punished Lucien by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Lucien’s 2ndbite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to fulfill personal undertaking to fellow attorn ey
  • Failed to promptly respond to communications from fellow attorney

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada punished Lucien by gifting him with a complimentary $2,000 fine.

 

As we speak (ca. February 2015), Lucien practices with Sicotte Guilbault LLP at 208-4275 Innes Road in Ottawa, Canada.
