Judge Bryon Theodosis of San Saba, TX; ethical dwarf

The state of Tennessee presented Corey Moreland with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the Nashville Law School.

The Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct found Judge Moreland guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jana Childers filed a lawsuit against Judge Theodosis, San Saba County, the North San Saba Water Supply Corporation, and former Sheriff Allen Brown.

Mrs. Childers’ husband, Jesse Childers, hit a hit a pipe while shredding his pasture on his on his tractor. The North San Saba Water Supply Corporation then sent a letter to Childers explaining that he owed $3,264.58 for repairs and failure to pay would result in legal action taken against him. Subsequently, Childers was arrested on October 3, 2012, and placed in jail.

The lawsuit suit alleges that former Sheriff Allen Brown failed to heed Jesse Childers’ requests to meet the health needs required by his heart condition. On October 28, 2012, Jesse Childers died from heart failure.

Mrs. Childers alleges in her lawsuit that Judge Theodosis and the other defendants named in her lawsuit deprived her husband of adequate medical care and violated his due process rights.

All that remains now is to see if Mrs. Childers is successful in her lawsuit against Judge Theodosis, et al. It certainly appears that it would be highly questionable to arrest and jail someone for failing to pay the costs for repairs on a pipeline since that is clearly a civil matter.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Judge Theodosis remains sitting as a San Saba County judge in San Saba, Texas, which is about 100 miles northwest of Austin.
