Tony Perkins: Today’s “Lunatic” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Tony. In the past, he has been the recipient of six (6) Awards in various categories and/or the subject of five (5) opinion pieces. Those awards and opinion pieces are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Tony is the president of the Un-Family Research Council that is devoted to mimicking the flim-flam charlatan in Elmer Gantry movie played by Burt Lancaster.

In a recent (01/13/15) edition of the Washington Watch radio comedy show, Tony decided to dial-for-dollars with his listeners by spewing forth his usual dose of crap, which in this instance dealt with the recent terrorist attack in Paris.

Tony then compared Atlanta Mayor Reed’s recent firing of the city’s police chief for distributing a self-published book condemning members of the gay community by comparing the firing to non-existent attacks on American conservatives.

Tony then told his low I.Q. listeners:

• “Look. What happened there in Paris was designed to intimidate and silence.”
• “What happened here in Georgia, it wasn’t terrorists, it was a mayor; it wasn’t a gun he fired, but it was the chief he fired.”
• “And the intent was the same. It was to silence and to intimidate people of faith.”

Would Tony the Loser’s reaction be the same if the Mayor of Mobile, Alabama fired the Police Chief because he was the Grand Dragon of the local KKK? 

Claiming to be a devout Christian, one must wonder what Bible Tony follows by condoning bigotry and hatred against members of the gay community. In truth, Tony feigns his dislike of gay folks for the purpose of engendering contributions from homophobes and other assorted bigots.

Congrats Tony; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Lunatics”; you are far too humble.
