Attorney F. Douglas Banks of Charlotte; ethical misfit

The state of North Carolina provided F. Douglas Banks with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Samford University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Douglas guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Douglas represented an insurance company in a workers’ compensation case. In the course of the representation he gave legal advice to an unrepresented party and allowed the unrepresented party to speak with third parties without first retaining counsel.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Douglas by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015) Douglas practices at 10801 Johnston Road in Charlotte, North Carolina.
