Attorney Catherine Abbey of DC; ethical misfit

The DC Bar presented Catherine E. Abbey with a law license in 1993.

The DC Bar Counsel found Cathy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, while Cathy represented a client in a personal injury matter, she found it acceptable to not notify a third party of her receipt of settlement funds in which the party had a lawful interest.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Bar Counsel punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Cathy practices at 7600 Georgia Avenue NW in Washington, DC.
