Judge Marc Lust of Harrison, NY; arrogant drunk

The state of New York presented Mark J. Lust with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from Boston University Law School.

In 2007, Marc duped the voters in Westchester County to elect him as a Harrison Justice Court judge.

Several days before Christmas, Marc was involved in an auto accident during rush hour in Midtown while under the influence. Michael Antonicello was the victim of Marc’s drunken escapade. After Marc hit Antonicello’s car he went to the side window of Marc’s car and said, “Get out! Get out! You just hit my car.”

That was when Antonicello realized that Marc was drunk. Antonicello went on to say, “He’s noticeably drunk. He was slurring his words. You could smell it. He just reeked.” (CBS 2, New York)

Antonicello was driving on Tenth Avenue on the West Side of Manhattan and was about to enter the Lincoln Tunnel, when he claims Judge Lust rear-ended him and kept driving. Antonicello stated that, “The next thing I know, the light turns green and he [Marc] just takes off.”

Antonicello ended up chasing Marc for several blocks, cut him off, and then confronted him. When he got to Marc’s car, Marc “kept saying, we can work it out, we can work it out. He then overheard Marc telling the police officer, “hey I’m a judge, we can work this out.”

Of course Marc denies that he tried to use his judicial position to gain special treatment; however, since his lips were moving during his denial it’s obvious he was lying. In fact, the police report states that Marc said, “Com on, I’m a judge. I’ll take care of this. I’ll take care of it.”

All that’s left now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Marc the Lush by the enablers of Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission. Given the Commission’s past history, at worst Marc will receive a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Marc the Lush continues to sit as a Harrison Justice Court judge (albeit when sober) in Harrison, New York, which is about 25 miles north of New York City.

In addition to working as a Justice Court judge, Marc also practices law with Kopff Nardelli & Dopf LLP at 440 Ninth Avenue in New York, New York.
