Attorney Charles Kelly Jr. of Spirit Lake, IA; ethical misfit

The state of Iowa presented Charles Ray Kelly Jr. with a law license in 1976 after he graduated from Drake University Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Chuck guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Faield to conduct trial scheduling conference
• Submitted sham and/or fabricated defenses to ethics investigators
• Repeatedly lied about consultations with opposing counsel
• Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Marshall by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Mike practices with the Johnson Law Firm at 1817 Hill Avenue in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
